Bu çalışma, Arap Baharı gösterilerinin Libya’yı başarısız devlete dönüştürmesinin nedenlerini ve arka planını ele almayı amaçlamaktadır. doğrultuda tarihsel bir perspektiften Libya’nın siyasi tarihi dönüşümü alınmıştır. siyasi, toplumsal ekonomik yapısı başarılı ulus devlet inşasının önündeki engel olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Ayrıca bölünmüşlük aşiret bağlarının güçlü olması parçalanmışlık çıkarmaktadır. Böylesi yapının üzerine inşa edilen bütün kesimleri merkezden kontrol etmeyi amaçlayan yapı, güvenlik merkezli yaklaşım benimsemek zorunda kalmaktadır. Dolayısıyla müreffeh inşası için ayrılması gereken kaynaklar, sistemin sürdürülebilirliği harcanmaktadır. sürecini bazı ülkeler kansız atlatırken bazılarıysa kanlı yıkıcı şekilde halen atlatmaya çalışmaktadır. sürecin nasıl olacağı, olaylara dış müdahalenin etkisiyle ilgilidir. Libya’daki gösterilere dahil olan müdahale, ülkenin tam anlamıyla çökmesine iç savaşın patlak vermesine yol açmıştır. Libya normalleşmeye çalışmakta bitmesi mücadele vermektedir. İç dinamiklerin tetiklediği sorunlar yabancı devletlerin müdahalesi Libya’da işlemeyen sisteminin çıkmasına neden olmuştur.
